You must complete an adoption application with WBCR before we will consider you for one of our Border Collies (under the “adoption” link). Then go to our PayPal link to pay the $15.00 application fee. One of our volunteers will check your references, and then another will come to your home to meet you & your family in person before the board will vote on your application. If you are approved, we will arrange a time for you to meet the dog(s) you are interested in. If you decide he/she is perfect for you and the board agrees, we will schedule a day for you to pick up your Border Collie, sign adoption paperwork, and pay the $350 minimum adoption donation. This whole process may take a month or more, as all WBCR members are volunteers and we’re committed to making a perfect match for our border collies. Thanks for your patience!
Please contact Karen for more information on Data – 4 Year Old Female (Sussex, WI) – Adopted!
Note: Data’s previous owner reported that Data isn’t always comfortable with young children in her space. For this reason, we will not adopt her to a family with children who are younger than 10 years old.

Data was spayed today and will need time to recuperate. She will be ready to meet approved potential adopters on the 18th. Data loves to wrestle, play ball, and cuddle. She is looking for her forever home, could it be yours?

Data is a tiny girl, around 24 lbs. When she goes outside on a long lead, she is in a big hurry trying to meet whatever has gone thru our yard. She took off very quickly to “meet” the rabbit she found in the bushes. She is very interested in anything that moves, so she has a strong prey drive. The first few days, she would stop and watch the cars go by, but has since decided there are way more interesting things to do.
Data really enjoys playing with toys, especially balls. She is not possessive of toys or bones and enjoys playing/chewing with or next to our dog. This playful girl also loves to wrestle, chase, and tease him. We have taken her to the dog park. She gets excited when she knows we are going. Data has interacted well with all of the dogs she has met, and she allows them to also play with her ball. Data would enjoy having a brother or sister to play with in her new home.

Data knows her name, sit, shake, and comes when called in the house. We are still working on jumping up on people and furniture with a quick “Off!” She usually gets right down. She is quiet in her crate and fully house trained. She is one great little dog!

Data (pronounced DAY-TUH) is a sweet, little three year old female BC that came into WBCR this week. She was born May 20, 2015. She already seems comfortable in her foster home and has spent quiet nights in her crate with no accidents. So far she has been enjoying checking out the yard and playing with toys. She loves toys! We’re looking forward to seeing Data’s personality emerge in her new surroundings. There are some lucky people out there that will be her forever home! Stay tuned for Data’s adventures.
